As a die-hard Constitutionalist, I believe that we still have an absolute, unfettered, God-given right to travel from point A to point B without permission from the state — in the air, as well as on land. This Nazi procedure of “your papers, please” has never been appropriate for our country. I have had occasion to travel a good deal in the last several months, and on those trips I decided to research and test this issue about the necessity for producing identification.
This type of shit annoys the hell out of me. Being a douchebag just to be a douchebag is fucking annoying. I’ve got no problem with someone knowing the rules and using them when they need (like if you actually lost your ID), but for someone to try and push the envelope with someone who’s probably not paid enough and deals with jackoffs like you on a daily basis is just being a dick.
Just stop being a douche, nobody is taking some massive freedom of yours by making you flash an ID card. I’m willing to bet this was written by some 25-35 year old white male who wanted to feel like there was some sort of injustice in the world holding him back.
If you really want to make a difference and right some wrongs, go to places in South and Central America, Africa, or Asia where legit injustice is happening every day and stop being a cocksucker in a country that basically lets you do whatever the fuck you want.
I’m with you, I couldn’t even get through half of this before I was overwhelmed with douche. Dude, the airlines are providing you with a service. They have the right to refuse that service to anyone for any reason that isn’t race/ethnicity, etc.
If you want to fly your private aircraft from your private runway to another private runway, that might be a different story. But for now, just let these “Nazi” underpaid, over-stressed airline workers see your ID, because they have every right as an American business to ask for it.
